Need help recovering my ID. My account started in 2024 or 2025, and I can't find my credentials.
I have moved to Florida and have a new phone number. Could someone please help me via telephone?
My old ZIP code is 30721 in Dalton, Georgia. I have tried to get help, and I just can't do it by myself.

Can't access my account!!!!!!
My old id.me account was connected to my old email (jerry@***.com), which is no longer accessible. Additionally, I have moved from my old Scottsdale address to a new place in Gilbert, Arizona, and I don't see any way in id.me to update my email and new physical address. I need to access my account so I can pay my IRS bill - help!
I have the same issue and have worked for hours trying to fix.Only AI help and no real customer service.

I get a letter every December for the last three years with a tax ID number. That has to be put on my taxes in order for my refund to be processed.
I still have not received anything!
Why haven't I? Are there any phone numbers where I can actually speak to somebody?

My wife can't use her account that I tried to set up for her.
In February of 2022 I set up a id.me account for myself, and tried to set up on for my wife, because she isnt a fan of technology and would have problems.
I got mine set up okay, but hers has never worked. I tried to set hers up again after advice from AI.
Got it set up, but the authentication app wont work with it, nor does the recovery code.
AI said she may have 2 accounts, one incomplete, and the authentication app is attached to it, and so is the recovery code
So I need help getting this straighten, so we can get onto social security for her.
Her email address is kay.adams1@***.com, the only one she has ever used. The only other one she has that I know of is akay16408@***.com which she has never used that I know of.
The last 4 digits of her social security number is 2701. Her phone number is 614-620-****. My phone number is 614-562-****.
I dont have a photo readily available for her.
We are using iphones. I am on my laptop right now.
Preferred solution: Problem fixed so my wife can logon to her social security.

. THIS IS PROBABLY THE ABSOLUTE WORST CHAT ON THE PLANET. The stupid AI would not allow me to get to a live agent. FOR 45 MINUTES it kept asking me the same questions over and over.
They sent emails which I never received so I cannot unlock my account or change my password. MOST USER UNFRIENDLY WEB SITE EVER!! SO NOW IM LOCKED OUT OF IRS ETC WITH NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM, THEY'VE MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK TO A REAL LIVE HUMAN, They are so stuck on this useless AI there is no way for me to resolve this.

I now have two id.me accounts old one mike.anne@***.net and new one mike.anne333@***.com
When I finally got into the new one mike.anne333@***.com and tried to verify my veteran status it said I had an old account that had my veteran status. I can't get into the old account and can not reset the password because it sends me information to the old email I don't have access to.
Now I can't get into either account and have been talking with this stupid AI for hours today. When I try to get into the new account now it comes up with the old email and says I need to get into that one.
This has been a horrible experience dealing with this issue without talking with someone. I hope this finds a real person that can fix this.

Preferred solution: They need to have customer service that people can find a contact for. I spent hours dealing with their AI helper that could not fix the issue. I hope I never have to deal with them again because their customer service is horrible.

This is the sorriest website on the internet by far. I've been dealing with them for 3 years; they can't seem to figure out how to get me logged in so I can get my taxes done.
If you're dealing with the IRS, you have to go through Id Me. So what do you do?
Be dang if I know. They have no customer service number, and if you send an email, it takes a week to get back to you with no answer, so I don't know.

CloudFlare Deep Web Vulnerability
Companies need to be held accountable for not responsibly deleting outdated information. Especially if they have your biometric Data. There's no reason a company can't simply delete your data.
ID.me locks customers into a forced digital ID that they permanently keep on the deep web, which is vulnerable to attackers via Diffie-Hellman crypto key exchange. Not only can customers not delete their own digital ID, but ID.me keeps a permanent record of the profile (for DEIA and security reasons). Dumb.
